Fleshy

"Fleshy" is the name given to this weird little creature, who was purchased by Peridot from the World Walker Caravan. Why, you may ask, did she spend her limited credits on such a weird little creature? Well, because Peridot can't resist a mystery! Every the other animal being sold at the caravan was of an identifiable species. Fleshy's designation was simply "???", because no one had any idea what the heck she was or where she came from. The only thing the caravaners knew for certain was that she needed a loving home.

Fleshy is an extremely curious and intelligent little creature, although you might question that description upon first meeting her. She is not a very 'high energy' entity, preferring instead to take things slow and sit observing the world around her; those who visit Lapis and Peridot's trailer may notice a trend of her sitting motionless in one place for hours on end, just. Watching, no indication given that she is even really registering much about what's going on around her. Hang around her for long enough, though, and you'll see that Fleshy is an emotionally intelligent creature capable of displaying incredible empathy. For example, when anyone in her family is upset, she loves to go and gather up an armful of her favorite foods of squash and melon, and bring them to the troubled party as a gift, to try and raise their spirits.

Fleshy is a vegetarian, and eats by stabbing that bizarre tongue through the thick hides of melons and gourd-like vegetables, sucking out the juice and guts within. Fortunately, she knows better than to menace Pumpkin, although knowing this does not stop Pumpkin from being generally pretty uncomfortable around her.

During some vague point in time in the middle of the Shabondamashii event, Fleshy was been sent back to the relative safety of Beach City along with Lapis Lazuli.
