It's wrapped in green paper and inside there's a book: Scientist Without A Goal which honestly, is the best fake title the fake book name title generator gave me. Featuring the following: lots of dubious fake science! Fundamental misunderstandings of how chemistry works! A surprisingly decent understanding of how physics works? A rival gang of scientists who wear leather biker jackets because they're hardcore!

The second is some sort of short neck scarf; the decorative sort, she clipped it from the green on her magical fabric, so the colours ebb calmly between the more peacefull yellow-green toward a more teal shade, like an aurora of light.]

[On B18, they will find a fancy looking gift box in his trailer with a note left on top. The handwriting is done in an over the top cursive that he might recognize as the Ringmaster's, written on aged papyrus with the ink seemingly made of shining gold.]

[Her signature is so massive and florid that it fills up the rest of the paper. When they opens the box, they'll find a magic gauntlet. She'll find that this gauntlet works similarly to some forms of Gem Tech - specifically, items can be stored inside the stone portion, and then summoned out of it with a bubble field and placed where she desires. There are limits to how much can be fit in there , but it seems pretty generous. She can move other objects around in the bubble field too, in a way that'll feel familiar to her limb extenders.]

[It's... brief, to say the least, but it looks like this is a solstice present.]

[The book included with the note is titled Blips and Bloops: A Thesis on Mechanics. It describes the fundamentals of machines, going into extensive details of the physics behind them. Some of the information may be terribly primitive to Peridot, but it does provide a very Earthlike perspective of the field. At some point, the author goes off on a chapter-long tangent about his wishes and expectations for the future of mechanics, and all the ethical and philosophical implications of automation, artificial intelligence, and other advancements that don't seem to have been fully developed in his world just yet.]

[ Peridot gets a package left at their trailer steps with this fucking shirt, a book, and half a bar of metal that seems to glow. The metal isn't refined or shaped or anything; it's literally just a chunk of metal.

Happy solstice. I don't know much about engineering, but light would probably come in handy, right? I figured this was enough to make something useful.

The book sounds like the kind of thing you like, but I haven't actually read it. Let me know if it's any good.

[ The book is titled The Dragon's Enchantress, a fantasy romance about a sorceress who bravely volunteers to be a sacrifice to a dragon demanding the kingom's best magic-users, while her lover (a well-decorated female knight) is away on a crusade. In the dragon's lair, she's surprised to discover her captor to be a well-spoken, proud, independent dragoness ... with a unique problem: for one week out of every year, she's cursed to become human. But over the course of her stay, the enchantress realizes she's not dealing with a dragon at all, but a long-lost princess who's forgotten who she is and how she became this way.

There are several flowery and euphemistically-described lengthy sex scenes, including a flashback to her knight-lover's last night before riding off, a brief weird interlude where she dreams about the dragoness in dragon form, and being able to telepathically connect when they climax. She also literally heals the enchanted princess through magic sex, so there's that. Thankfully (???) no illustrations, except for a blonde woman in diaphanous silks swooning on a vaguely dragon-shaped silhouette on the cover.

It's actually the second book of a series. The first, titled Heart of an Enchantress, apparently details how the enchantress and the knight got together in the first place. Based on the preview blurb, the next book (COMING SOON!!!) is apparently devoted to resolving the love triangle between enchantress, knight, and dragon when the knight comes to "rescue" her lover. ]

It is a white throw pillow made with slightly iridescent faux fur, with a contrastingly pink patch of felt stitched to the front in the shape of a star. The white fabric smells faintly of lavender and other hard to place relaxing aromas, and has subtle magical soothing effect from being close to it.

There is also a Party Console for some MLG gaming, obviously.]
